Last Drop Distillers are a small but different company in the high end spirits market. Their old site was holding them back and expansion into new markets and new products in the pipeline meant the website needed to be fit for purpose.
We created a new visually rich website that both conveyed the high quality of the products and evoked the right atmosphere to go with them.
The Last Drop is a small company, consisting of three founders who have previously worked on some of the biggest names in Scotch whisky and Cognac. They now aim to seek out rare casks of old and exceptional spirits, to find and offer something truly exceptional.
The idea wasn’t to create a typical distillers website – The Last Drop aren’t in it to compete with all the other producers. The wanted something that reflected the unique, and special nature of what they offer.
The first thing we did was set about creating a visually rich website that both conveyed the high quality of the products and evoked the right atmosphere to go with them. The colours, use of quality photography and lack of page clutter all help bring this approach to life.
We also simplified the way the site worked, by keeping all the information for each product on the same page. For example, we put the relevant Tasting Notes for a product on its page, rather than separate.
Each product page has a storyline structure now. The most interesting thing about the company and their products is the background story. So it made sense not to be brief or matter of fact. The story is the selling point in our view.
